Chez les Chevtchenko-Tremblay, le patriarche Stefan, tourmenté par la démence et une maladie dégénérative rare, erre dans l’incapacité de se faire comprendre ou de se comprendre lui-même. Ses pensées s’expriment à travers des poèmes ukrainiens qui le hantent depuis sa terre natale. Face à l’inévitable, une union sans précédent émerge entre ses trois fils et leur mère. En dévoilant leurs vulnérabilités, leurs colères et leurs peurs, ils trouvent la force de cultiver l’espoir au cœur de l’adversité.

At the Chevtchenko-Tremblay household, patriarch Stefan, tormented by dementia and a rare degenerative disease, wanders in a state where he is unable to make himself understood or even understand himself. His thoughts are expressed through Ukrainian poems that have haunted him since his homeland. Confronted with the inevitable, an unprecedented unity emerges between his three sons and their mother. By revealing their vulnerabilities, their anger, and their fears, they find the strength to nurture hope in the face of adversity.
